Combat Mechanics

Master these mechanics to maximize your combat effectiveness.

Perfect Dodge in action - timing indicator shown

Perfect Dodge

Dodge at the exact moment an attack lands. Reduces Stamina consumption and restores SP. You can chain two dodges before a cooldown.

Stagger Nodes system - stagger bar shown on enemy

Stagger Nodes

Tougher enemies have Stagger Nodes. Fill the stagger bar to make them falter, creating an opening to interrupt attacks.

Interruption Cue visual indicator during enemy attack

Interruption Cue

Watch for visual cues during enemy attacks. Time your counter correctly to interrupt and punish.

Targeting weak points on a large enemy

Weak Points

Certain enemies have targetable body parts. Hit weak points for increased damage—but hitting the wrong spot may knock you back.
